Filmmaker Eddie Alcazar and musician Flying Lotus have been traveling the festival circuit with their disturbing and mesmerizing short film, “FUCKKKYOUUU,” which most recently made waves at a sold out screening at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
Flying Lotus, whose music provides the short with an unnervingly hypnotic score, just premiered the entire short film online via YouTube, and it’s sure to be one of the most beautifully nightmarish pieces of cinema you’ll see all week.
The film’s mysterious official synopsis reads:
With the ability to travel in time, a lonely girl finds love and comfort by connecting with her past self. Eventually faced with rejection, she struggles with her identity and gender, and as time folds onto itself only one of them can remain.
With its experimental editing, bold visuals, and provocative atmosphere, “FUCKKKYOUUU” leaves you with an impact far greater than many features. Watch the short above.
